BYU Graduates!

Here is a collage of pictures from our graduation this past week.

We had an awesome week that was very busy and packed with fun! The Soons arrived on Monday evening. Kahili and I were both finished with finals by Tuesday afternoon. Kahili's parents had brought up a bunch of Hawaiian food so we had a dinner at our place with a bunch of friends on Wednesday. My family drove up from Cali on Thursday. We participated in Commencement with Elder Scott as the speaker on Thursday afternoon. After, we went out to eat in American Fork at a mexican restaurant. Then, when I tried to go to bed around 11:30 pm, everyone kept bugging me and wouldn't let me go to sleep. Around 12:30 am my sister Amanda showed as a surprise! Oh man, the fun doesn't stop there. Friday morning, Kahili and I walked across the stage in the Marriott Center along with about 1,000 other graduates. Friday night we had a little get together with close friends and family at my Uncle's house in Highland. The food was great thanks to my mother-in-law and Auntie Masa. Saturday, Kahili's parents left early in the morning to get back to Hawaii and be with the grandkids for Easter and Kahili and I went to our friend Alana's grad party up at a cabin in Sundance. Then Kahili went to play basketball and I went with my family to meet up with some family friends that we hadn't seen in forever! After dinner, we came home and played Kahili's favorite game as a family. Sunday morning I woke up to an empty apartment but the Easter Bunny had visited! haha. It was a great weekend but it went by wayyyy too fast! I can't believe my family is already gone. We had so much fun! Well, that's our weekend in a nutshell.

Baby Girl

Well, now that I'm done with school, I have been playing around with a new program I downloaded, Picasa, making collages. :)

Done and Done!

Today I took the very last final of my college career! Haha. Well, last 2 (I studied for one and then went in the testing center and took it. Then when i got out of it, I took 20 minutes to review and study for my last test and went back upstairs and took that one). BAM! Finished all 5 of my finals within 24 hours! It was awesome! Now I feel FREE! Don't get me wrong, I am so thankful for my education because I know that I will feel secure and be able to provide for my family if anything were to happen to Kahili. However, the whole process of going to school nonstop for 16 years (kindergarden+4 years of elementary+3 years of middle+4 years of high school+ 4 years of college), was just tiring! Anyways, I have a lot to look forward to this week... Kahili's parents came in yesterday, my family comes in on Thursday, and we GRADUATE on Friday! And then, what comes next?

ha. You tell me!

It's a Girl!

We are excited to announce that we are having a little baby GIRL! We went to our 20 week ultrasound today and Baby Girl Soon is looking really healthy! She is even measuring "big". The ultrasound tech said she weighs about 1 pound now and even though my due date is August 22nd, she said baby girl is measuring August 17th :) I loved watching Kahili's face as we saw our baby girl moving around and sucking on her toes. She is very active already! I've been able to feel her move a little bit but not too much and the tech said that the placenta is right in the front (so on the other side of my tummy) so there's an extra barrier there. We also go to see her heart, kidneys, diaphragm, stomach, and brain. It was so cool! Here are some pics of our little girl:

(The three white dots are her "girl parts")

Keep growing Healthy and Strong Baby Girl! :)

Stats:
Weight: about 1 lb
Heartbeart: 150 bpm

Graduation Pictures

My friend Alana has only been practicing photography for about a year now but she is already popular in Provo! I asked her to take some pictures of me to send out with some graduation announcements and yesterday was a beautiful day in Provo so we went out and did it! We had so much fun. Anyways, here are my 2 favorites but you can visit Alana's website and see the rest of them too, Alana Yates Photography:

Thanks Lans!
