Too Early?

I just ordered this:

"We at Udder Covers™ are committed to making the most dependable nursing cover on the market. It's simple. We want you to have a product that will cover you where you need it and yet still allow you to have eye contact with your baby - all while wearing something chic and stylish."

WHY? Because it was only $9.95 when you put in the code: Utah
Yeah, I'll take that. Oh, and while I was at it, they give you a link to their other website where I got this gem:

And for this one I only had to pay shipping which was, $11.95

Thanks Measom for telling me about this great offer!

YUMMM...

I had never really eaten grapefruit before I was pregnant. Since, I think I have eaten a lifetimes worth... haha. I love, love, love it with a little brown sugar sprinkled on top.
YUMMMMMM.

The Countdown Begins

Well, I guess I actually started counting down the day this semester started but oh well! ha.
However, I am finally coming to the realization that Kahili and I are graduating in less than a month! Here is the countdown of the next few weeks of our life that includes major events:

7 days till the GENDER Ultrasound
13 more days of class
23 days till Kahili's family comes
25 days till my family comes
26 days till we are college graduates!

Needless to say, I am getting very excited for the next few weeks!

P.S. I will be 19 weeks tomorrow and there's still not much to show for it...just ask my friends here in Provo. They don't believe that I'm pregnant. haha

The Doctor's... out

Kahili and I went to the doctor this morning after my midterm. While we were sitting in the waiting room, one of the nurses came out and said that our doctor had to go to a delivery so we wouldn't be able to see him today. However, she took us to the back and we were able to hear the baby's heartbeat: 153 bpm. The nurses said it looks like everything is going well and I'm gaining some weight at a steady pace.

Before we left, we made a 20 week ultrasound appointment so we're excited for that.

17 Weeks

Yesterday was the start of week 17 for me. I figured I should do an update even though I will be doing one later this week because we go to the doctor again on Thursday.

*I have been having a really hard time sleeping. BUT, i love naps during the day. Last night, as I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep, I felt something weird in my stomach. The only way to describe it would be comparing it to the feeling I used to get before big matches, like knots in my stomach! I turned on my lamp and pulled my shirt up and I could see my stomach moving a little! It was awesome! I woke Kahili up (even though he had to be up by 4:30 for work :/) so he could see it too. He was like, "cool..." and then rolled over and fell back asleep. HAHA. I don't blame him. Anyways, it was amazing that we got to see the baby move a little.

*I still get headaches every once and awhile but they aren't nearly as bad as they were before. I tend to get them when I am in loud places (like gyms, coaching) for long periods of time, or when I'm under a lot of stress (like this week when I have like 10 projects due, 2 midterms, and luau is next week so costumes have to be finished).

*The pregnancy books were right. I guess my mucous membranes have doubled in size so my nose is congested all the time.

I think that is all the updates I have, most of them are the same. I will post again after our appointment on Thursday.

***2 more weeks till we find out if IT is a boy or a girl***
***5 more weeks till Kahili and I graduate (as long as I pass all 17.5 credits)***
***5 more weeks till our families come and we get to celebrate!***

Exhausted.

The past 2 weeks have been so busy! Mostly because I can usually get a lot of stuff done on Saturday and the past two Saturdays I have been working.

(warning: this next part is me, venting--- if you don't understand volleyball lingo you may be confused...)

I coached a 14s team that I had never met before on Saturday. It was hard, very hard. The first game of the day, I had 2 girls crying and asking me if I would take them out. This team runs a 6-2 (2 setters) and that is all they know how to run. One of the girls that was crying was a setter so the next game, I let her sit out and told her to watch the setter that was on to see what she should be doing. At this point, the rest of the team freaked out because they now only had 1 setter and I had one of the outside hitters playing opposite. Even though I was telling them all where to go before each play, they were complaining the WHOLE game. Not only that, they were bickering with each other. At one point, I had to call a timeout and say, "I am the coach! Let me coach. You don't tell her what to do, I will." It was so frustrating. One of the girls was injured so she was sitting on the bench the whole day. One of the middles that rotates out had the injured girl holding her phone and while she was out, she was texting! The whole day went like that, I felt like I was babysitting instead of coaching. The thing that put me over the edge: There were 3 outside hitters so I was rotating them out each game. The last match of the day it was time for the girl that was giving me the most trouble to sit out. I saw her go grab her backpack and bring it to the bench. I told her to put it to the side and not open it because she should be paying attention to the game. I got caught up coaching and when I turned around during the last few points of the game, she was painting her nails! Can you believe that?! I was so upset, I didn't even know what to do.

All I can say is I am SOOOOOO glad I have 14 years to prepare for this type of behavior!

It's Time to Make a Guess...

What do you think...
BOY or GIRL?

We find out in about 4 weeks... :)

BLAH.

Here's a little clip of what our weekend looked like...
Thursday morning I woke up with a headache (...again) but had to go to class cuz I had a quiz. I took some excedrine and Kahili drove me over to class. I couldn't get rid of the headache but it was manageable. The headache continued throughout the weekend but with caffeine and excedrine it was manageable.
Saturday I spent the day with Alana sewing some luau costumes and then working on other little projects. I wasn't feeling great and I had started coughing. I got home that night and my headache started to get increasingly worse. I went to bed figuring it would go away by the morning. About 3am, I woke up with the worst headache I have ever had. I was coughing, my nose was running, and my head was thumping. After about an hour of laying in pain, I woke Kahili up and asked him to give me a blessing. I am so glad he is a worthy Priesthood holder. I was able to fall back asleep and sleep until about 11am.
I talked to my mom in the morning and she suggested we go to Urgent Care because my headache was still lingering and the cough was probably not good for the baby. We headed to Urgent Care in the Riverwoods and waited for about 2 hours to see a doctor. Verdict: the common cold with tension headaches (probably caused by sewing :(). Boo.
Anyways, so the past few days have been hard. I have gone through lots and lots of tissue because my nose will not stop running. My cough keeps me and my poor husband up most of the night. and my headache is still here but back to being manageable.
Well, that's what's been going on in the Soon household... Hope the rest of you are staying healthy and enjoying this wonderful sunshine in Utah!
