I Hate Public Restrooms

We went to Vegas this past weekend (more on that later...) and I just have to say,
"I HATE PUBLIC RESTROOMS!"
Sure, I'm glad they exist but really, they are so gross! Not to mention that I have to go every 5 minutes...
I think I must have experienced a stall in every hotel along the strip. Now THAT is a lot of bathrooms.

Let's just say I'm glad to be home where I can use my own private bathroom without feeling dirty all the time.

Healthy & Happy

What will our baby look like?

Who knows?! Together, Kahili and I are: Hawaiian, Samoan, Italian, German, Chinese, and Irish (I think... I may be missing some...). Bottom line: our kids are gonna be mutts. It's hard to predict how they will look because they may turn out upper white or they could even come out pretty dark, who knows?

Today, we went to our 13/14 week doctor's appointment and got to hear the baby's heartbeat again. It is so amazing. They said that me and the baby look healthy and the baby's heart was beating 155 bpm :) 6 more weeks until we can find out the gender (unless we pay $50, then we could find out in like 2 weeks but that probably won't happen unless somebody wants to donate $50! Dr. Judd suggested we ask the grandparents to cough up a hundred bucks so we could pocket the other $50 ;) ha!)

These past 2 weeks have probably been the hardest part of the pregnancy so far. I have had a hard time sleeping, constant headaches, stomach pains, and I feel like I spend more time in the bathroom than I do sleeping! haha. Not to mention my midterms that I had amongst all that. It has definitely not been the easiest but every time I complain, my sweet husband reminds me that, "it's because you're growing a baby in there." Uh, thanks Kahili. jk. He really has been great at picking up the slack and dealing with my mood swings.

Well, I think that's all the updates I have for now. In the next couple weeks I will post a poll for everyone to take to guess if it's a boy or girl.

Another Holiday in the Books

Kahili has always been good at picking out gifts for me and this Valentines was no different. He was at work and I had class in the morning but right when I got home there was a knock on the door and the delivery guy handed me a box. Inside the box was buds of flowers inside a vase. Only a couple have bloomed so far but when they all bloom they will look look this:

Aren't they beautiful?! He sure does know how to pick flowers that I like :) Ok, Kahili got a PlayStation Move for Christmas from his brother and it only came with one controller so he has wanted another one for awhile now. Actually, I think all the boys have been itching for a new controller so they could play ping pong against each other! haha. So last week, we went to the store and got this:

Finally, I have wanted Nike Frees for forever (well, since they came out). I really wanted the BLACK ones with PINK accents but, they don't come in my size apparently :( After dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory on Monday, we went to the mall and got these:

I LOVE THEM!
To finish off the night, Kahili had bought tickets to Just Go With It which was HILARIOUS! Both Kahili and I were cracking up and we loved it! We highly suggest all of you go watch it. Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day spent with loved ones, as well... Have a great week!

I had to use pictures from the internet because our camera is currently out of commission...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Two years ago today (February 14th, 2009), this boy...

...and they lived happily ever after!

P. S...HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my wonderful sister-in-law KAIWA!!! <3>

Ice Castles

Yesterday Kahili and I kinda celebrated Valentine's Day early because Monday we both have class until about 7pm.

In the morning, we went with Tyler and Alana Yates to get pedicures. Yes, all of us got pedicures, including Kahili and Tyler. haha. Heres the thing, Alana wanted to get a pedicure and wanted Tyler to do it with her. He refused. I was over so Alana invited me to go and we asked Ty, "If Kahili goes, will you?" Tyler still refused. Long story short, we went to the nail salon and the boys ended up having a great time getting their feet massaged and cleaned up! :)

To start the night off, we went to dinner with the Higas. The plan was to go to La Jolla Groves in The Riverwoods but when we got there, we found out that there was about a 2 hour wait. Instead, we walked down to Malawi's Pizza which is owned by the same people as La Jolla Groves. Well, apparently everyone in Provo was celebrating Valentine's Day early so that place was packed too (It didn't help that the BYU basketball game had also just finished). Fortunately, I saw my assistant coach Shawn and his wife Farrah finishing up their meal. Perfect timing! We were able to take their table and got our food shortly after. I got a BBQ chicken pizza with pineapple and Kahili got the Meat Lasagna. Tyler got a yummy Garlic and Artichoke pizza and Aimoku went with the traditional Pepperoni.

I think we all enjoyed our meals and were happy that we could be a part of a good cause (Malawi's uses the slogan "Pizza with a purpose" and donates the cost of a meal for an orphan in the southeast African nation of Malawi every time it rings up your order). After dinner, we met up with the Nields' and Yates' and started our mini van adventure up to the Midway Ice Castles. Let me just say, if you are in Utah and you haven't been to see these yet, GO! They are absolutely amazing and we had so much fun walking around and looking at them.

US :)

We ended our evening at Denny's with some hot chocolate and dessert. It was a fun night and we were happy to spend it with close friends.

GNI (Girls Night In)

Last Saturday was the "Big Fight" which, let's be honest, means nothing to a bunch of wives except that our husbands have an appointment with the TV that night. SO, instead of sitting through and enduring watching 2 men beat each other up, we planned a girls night! Our friend Amber offered up her house because she had all the materials to make lauhala and beaded jewelry. I've never been much of a jewelry wearer, and this was my first time working with lauhala so I was pretty excited. Most of the girls were making earrings but since I don't have my ears pierced, Amber taught me how to make a bracelet and a ring. It was a little tough at first but once I got the hang of it, it turned out great! I don't have any pictures right now but i'll post them once I get them. the night was spent with good friends talking, laughing, making jewelry, and of course, snacking away :) Thanks Amber, Jaymie, Alana, Kiam, Aimoku, and Jovy!

Oh, and the best part, we didn't have to watch the fight AND the Superbowl all in one weekend, just the Superbowl!

I love my hubby.

Just a little shout out to my wonderful husband...

He was so awesome today. He had to work from 5 am- 1 pm then we went to class (Coaching Volleyball). After class, we came home and my sweet husband made a delicious dinner, char siu ribs, rice, and mac salad. Not only that, he washed the dishes and took out the trash too! Oh, and he packed up the leftovers for me to take to school for lunch tomorrow! Wow, he is amazing.

I love him so much! And mind you, this was all after he saw my previous post and wasn't so too happy about it :)

How Many Months?

Well, today marks the start of Week 12 in my pregnancy. I'll start off this week with a funny story. Yesterday in church, Kahili was talking to a friend and this is how the conversation went:

Friend: When will you guys find out the sex of the baby?
Kahili: [turns and looks at me] Ummm, I think around 10 months, right babe?
Me: [laughing] HA! Yeah, I hope we'll know by then!

HAHA! I could only laugh. Kahili knows that a pregnancy is only 9 months, I don't know what he was thinking! :) Have a great week bloggers!
