Can't Catch a Break.

Yesterday while Kahili was still sleeping I went for a walk and then decided I should go run some errands. I went to get into the truck and thought it looked lower than usual. Then I looked down at the tire. FLAT. Ugh, so annoying. I didnt know what to do so I went in the house and waited for Kahili to wake up.

Me: What are we gonna do?! [in a whinny voice of course]
Kahili: Were gonna go change the tire and put on the spare. you know how to do that right?
Me: [puzzled look on my face] uh, no.
Kahili: What?! Your dad never taught you that? Were both going outside right now so i can teach you.
Me: Did you forget that I have no brothers? If I were to ever have a flat tire (which I never had before), I would just call my mom and she would tell me to call AAA.

We proceeded to go outside and I learned how to change a flat....kinda.

5 hours later...

We go to Kahili's softball games in Orem and his last game ends around 9:50. Kahili has work at 10:30 and still needs to go home and shower so we rush to the car, get in, I turn the key, and all we hear is clatter. UGH. Kahili got out and frantically starts asking everyone in the parking lot if they could jump us. He finds someone BUT, it doesnt work. Thank goodness the Panees stuck around and were able to get us home so Kahili wouldnt be too late to work. Then the great friends that they are, they drove all the way back to the fields, tried the jump again, and it worked. Thank goodness! Thank you Panees (and Aaron)! :) We have such great friends.

...about 24 hours after the flat tire incident...

Kahili's car won't start. I'm not even going to go into detail because that car and I just do not get along. at all. DRAMA!

I think it's safe to say we need a new/reliable car.

Summer Days

Kahili, being a connoisseur of meats, LOVES going to new BBQ places. While we were camping this past weekend, his friend Jordan told him all about this Pat's BBQ place that is up in SLC and featured on Food Network. While the boys talked about that, Amanda and I (30 and 37 weeks pregnant) talked about getting pedicures :) So, we made a day out of it and even brought along some friends! Us, the Panees, the Durretts, and the Yates' went to Pat's BBQ and then after we were too full, we went to South Town Mall in Sandy.

While everyone else walked around the mall, Amanda and I got the most amazing pedis. Maybe it was because we were preggo but the ladies took such good care of us! They started off by cleaning our toes: cutting them, cutting the cuticles back, scrubbing and exfoliating our feet and calves. Then, the foot massage started which I'm used to. The lady went to grab something and next thing I know she's doing a hot stone massage on my feet! Talk about amazing! And then she says, "you wait here. i come back with surprise." I turned to Amanda and said, "another surprise?!" The girl came back with bags of wax and put them on my feet to moisturize and soften them! That felt amazing! While the wax dried, she continued to massage my calves. Then, when she was done with all he surprises she painted my toes and even put some white flowers on them! Anyways, I just wanted to share how amazing this pedi was. Not to mention the entertainment, right Amanda?! That's a story for another time.

We are so going to miss the Panees when they move to Washington in 3 weeks! It's been a fun summer!

37 weeks

First off, today I am 37 weeks which means we made it full term! YAY! Today I am feeling anxious, nervous, panicked, happy, and just plain over pregnancy. However, I need our little girl to hang out in my tummy til next Saturday because we are moving next Friday and need to get somewhat settled in before she comes :)

Random ramblings:

I saw an old friend the other day and he said, "You already gave birth? Where's your baby?!" to which I replied, "No, I'm due in 3 weeks." HAHA. Men?

Where can I find someone rich to buy me this fabulous crib bedding that I have fallen in love with:
My wonderful husband looked at the price and said, "Can't you just make that or something?"

I have so much to do but dont feel like I can do any of it until we move. My apartment is a complete disaster because I just keep thinking, "We're moving next week so we're gonna have to clean it then anyways..." Great attitude huh?!

I still havent packed my hospital bag yet. Whoopsies.

Visitors from Cali

This past week has been, by far, the busiest week of the summer. Back in May, we found out Coco got in to SOAR camp at BYU so of course I told my mom she should send Daylene to hang out too! Then, the week before they got here, my former coach contacted me and asked me if I wanted to coach volleyball camp that week because they needed some extra help. Well, it was a tough decision because I wanted Daylene to have a fun trip but at the same time, with a baby one the way, I knew we could use the extra money. Not to mention trying to coach volleyball while I was 35 weeks preggo! ha! That was a sight to see.

Anyways, we picked Coco and Daylene up from the airport on Saturday afternoon (after our 1 and only birthing class!) and we were all hungry so we headed to get some food in Salt Lake. Kahili and Coco got some Hawaiian food at Mo Betta Steaks and Daylene and I of course got Chipotle. That evening we went to Nickel City (one of Daylene's favorite things to do in Utah) and then went to an open gym so Kahili and Coco could play some volleyball.

Sunday we went to church and then had a BBQ in honor of Coco's birthday (which was Friday). Kahili grilled up some burgers and I made Brookies (all Coco's requests). While everyone else was hanging out, Daylene and I started on our project. I thought it would be fun for Daylene to get to sew a little while she was here because she told me she wanted to learn when I was in Cali visiting but we didn't have a machine. So before she got here, I went to JoAnnes and picked out some cute fabric and got stuff to make an apron because Daylene has recently taken up baking. It was so fun to watch her and plan out what we were going to do for her apron. I even used some new settings on my machine!

Monday (Kahili and My 2nd Anniversary Day) we dropped Coco off at SOAR and she was definitely not excited. She didn't know anyone that was going to be there and I think she was dreading it because of that. We got a delivery from Edible Arrangements (some delicious chocolate covered strawberries with balloons) from my parents. Then I headed off to camp for the day. Kahili and Daylene had a great time watching Rio in 3D at the dollar theaters and apparently scoping out every store in Utah for a rocking chair for me (even though we decided on no gifts). When I got home and got to admire my gift for a little bit, we went to PF Changs for dinner. Then we got home so Daylene and I could send Kahili off to work for the night. Even though Kahili and I didn't get to spend a lot of time together on our anniversary, it was a nice day.

Tuesday through Thursday are kind of a blur because I was at camp pretty much all day every day. The highlight was on Tuesday when Daylene got to go with me to my doctor appointment and hear her nieces' heartbeat (156 bpm-strong and healthy).

Thursday Daylene went to our cousins house in Highland to hang out with her best friend Hyrum for the rest of the weekend. They went and saw Harry Potter and went to the water park.

Friday Kahili and I went to look at an apartment that we have been on the waiting list for and we finally found out we got it! As of August 5th, we will be living at The Huntington Apartments. We are very excited! I dropped Kahili off to play some basketball then went to see my friend Vivian, my massage therapist. She felt my "energy" and thinks our baby is coming a week or two early! :) Friday night, we went to the SOAR banquet to see what kind of fun Coco has been up to this week. Surprisingly, she had a great time and made so many friends!

Saturday morning, I picked Coco up and we went to watch Kahili play some football. Then we went to my friend Kiam's baby shower. It was so cute! For dinner, we went out to a park with some friends and had a BBQ. Coco and I ate some yummy carne aside.

Sunday, we went to the Pane'es ward because they were speaking and because we wanted to watch the women's US soccer game. After the game, we went to the Tusieseinas for dinner. Hyrum ended up coming over for a sleep over.

Today, we dropped Hyrum off and took Coco and Daylene to the airport. It was a fun week and we were so happy to have the girls here even though it was kind of crazy!

Summer is Flying By!

...and so is my Pregnancy...kinda.
We have had a busy couple of weeks so I will try to remember what we have done and try not to describe it in too much detail... haha.

I love shave ice. I could probably eat it every day if Kahili would let me and I wouldn't feel so ashamed. lol. A couple weeks ago, Logan's girlfriend, Kapu, came to visit Utah and we got to hang out. One of the days, we went to the Trafalga in Lehi where we rode bumper boats, played laser tag, played some mini golf, and everyone but me went rock climbing and rode the go karts as well. On Saturday, we went to get some delicious shave ice and then went bowling.

The next week we went to Trafalga again! But this time the Pane'e family was able to join us which meant there were kids (more fun for everyone!) and Amanda was there to keep me company!

Ok... now get ready for the longest post ever!
